Overview

During an RBD simulation, you may want to duplicate existing RBD setups, along with their constraints, at specific locations. This node lets you replicate clusters of RBDs either in their current state or in their initial (rest) state, around the point locations specified by a SOP point cloud. By default, all existing constraints between RBD pieces within each cluster are replicated with the RBDs. You can optionally replicate constraints between pieces within the cluster and other RBD pieces too.

Parameters

Enable Solver

Set this to 0 to disable the solver.

SOP Points

The path to the SOP points. These need to have an integer cluster attribute defined by Cluster Attribute to identify which cluster of RBD pieces to replicate around each point.

Cluster Attribute

The attribute name used to identify which RBD cluster is replicated around each point.

Clusters

The number of RBD clusters to replicate.

Enable

When turned off, the cluster of RBDs will not be replicated.

Group

Select the cluster of RBDs to be replicated.

Cluster

The cluster number used to determine which points the RBDs are replicated around.

Move to Rest

When turned on, replicate the RBDs at their rest position and orientation centered around the points with matching cluster attribute value. When turned off, replicate the RBDs as they are around the points with matching cluster attribute value.

Copy External Constraints

When turned on, replicates constraints between the cluster’s RBD pieces and specified pieces outside the cluster.

External Constraints Pieces

Specify the RBD pieces outside the cluster whose constraints with the clusters' RBD pieces should be replicated.
