Labs Substance Material geometry node

Loads a Substance archive and assigns it as a PBR material.

This node loads a Substance Archive (.sbsar) and assigns the resulting textures to a Principled Shader–based material. It automatically extracts common texture outputs (such as base color, normal, roughness, and metallic) and connects them to the appropriate shader inputs.

All exposed parameters from the Substance Archive are promoted, allowing interactive tweaking of the material while previewing the result directly in the viewport.

Parameters

File Pant

Path to the Substance Archive (.sbsar) file.

Reload

Reloads the Substance Archive from disk. Use this after modifying the source file or updating outputs.

Size

Resolution used when generating textures from the Substance Archive. Higher values produce higher-resolution textures at the cost of performance.

COP INPUT (optional)

Optional COP input used to override or supplement the generated textures.

Group

Primitive group specifying which geometry the material is assigned to.

Material Settings

Flip Normal Y

Flips the Y (green) channel of the normal map. Enable this to match normal map conventions used by certain renderers or game engines.

Enable Texture Displacement

Enables displacement using the texture output from the Substance material.

Displacement Effect Scale

Scales the strength of the displacement effect.

Displacement Offset

Offsets the displacement along the surface normal.

Gamma Correct Diffuse

Applies gamma correction to the diffuse/base color texture.

Gamma Correct Roughness

Applies gamma correction to the roughness texture.
