Houdini 22.0 Nodes Geometry nodes

Implicit Surface Slice geometry node

Visualizes a 2D slice of an implicit surface.

Since 22.0

Visualizes implicit surface values on a 2D slice, with blue indicating the inside of the surface and orange indicating the outside. You can also visualize normals and velocity on the slice.

Note

The slice is a visualization tool only. The displayed values are computed on the fly and are not stored as geometry attributes. To use implicit surface values downstream, call the implicitsurface VEX function directly.

Parameters

Plane

Size

Size of the 2D slice.

Center

Center of the 2D slice.

Rotate

Orientation of the 2D slice.

Voxel Size

Resolution of the 2D slice.

Arrow Spacing

Spacing between visualized normal or velocity arrows.

Vector Fields

Show Normals

Displays surface normals as arrows on the slice.

Normals Scale

Scale of the normal arrows.

Show Velocity

Displays surface velocity as arrows on the slice. This requires Implicit Surface Velocity upstream.

Velocity Scale

Scale of the velocity arrows.

Shader

Line Every

Spacing between isolines.

Line Width

Width of the isolines.

Falloff

Color falloff for the slice visualization.
