Houdini 21.0 Nodes Geometry nodes

Guide Clump Center geometry node

Generates center curves representing each guide clump.

Since 21.0

This SOP creates a single representative curve for each clump in a groom. These center curves are typically used for visualization, simulation, or as control guides.

The generated curves capture the average orientation and shape of each clump by aggregating the guides that belong to it. The output includes per-point normal and radius attributes that describe the clump’s orientation and width along its length.

Parameters

Output Normal Attribute

Name of the vector attribute created on the center curves that stores the average normal of the corresponding clump.

Normal Attribute

Name of the vector attribute to read from the input guides to compute the average normal per clump.

Output Radius Attribute

Output a radius attribute for each clump, representing the estimated spread radius of guides at each point along the center curve.

Radius Attribute

Name of the radius attribute, see Output Radius Attribute.
