Labs Simple Retime 1.0 geometry node

Retimes animated geometry using a ramp.

This node remaps the timing of an incoming animation using a normalized retiming curve. It provides a simple, visual method for adjusting playback speed, creating slow-motion or fast-motion sequences, and shaping custom ease-in/ease-out transitions.

Parameters

Speed Multiplier

This controls the speed of the animation sequence. A value of 0.5 slows it to half speed, while 2 doubles it.

Retime Ramp

Defines the mapping between normalized source time (horizontal axis) and normalized retimed time (vertical axis).

The default linear ramp (0-1) preserves the original timing.

Ramp behavior:

  • When the curve lies below the diagonal, playback slows.

  • When the curve lies above the diagonal, playback speeds up.

  • Flat regions hold the animation on a pose.

  • Steep regions accelerate time.
