Labs Repair 1.0 geometry node

Quickly repairs an area of a mesh

This node deletes selected primitives, patches the generated hole, and optionally remeshes and reprojects the patch onto the original mesh.

It’s designed to clean up scanned assets with problematic topology, like knots, by performing localized remeshing to smooth out a specific area.

Parameters

Base Group

The group of primitives to repair.

Fill Mode

The algorithm used to fill the holes.

Remesh

Post Remesh

Remesh the patch that was generated.

Target Edge Length

The optimal length for remeshing the edges.

Reproject onto Original

Raycasts the patch onto the original geometry in order to get some of the original detail back.

Smoothing

Smooth Borders

Softens the edges to smooth the transition onto the original mesh.

Influence

The amount of blurring for the edge to transition into the original mesh.

Blurring Iterations

The number of iterations the blurring algorithm will run.
